Greetings, from the Eastern Upper Peninsula!

I was born and raised up here in the U.P. and fell in love with the outdoors at a very early age. I grew up hunting, fishing and trapping all over the eastern half of the U.P.

Soon after High School, I moved to Texas and worked for Wildlife International Inc., where I helped develope and implement breeding and capture programs to supply zoos and hunting preserves with exotic animals, including big game from Africa and Asia.

I later moved back to Michigan for a Job in law enforcement, where I met and married my lovely wife, Stacy. In 1993, we had our son Waylon.

In 2002, I was injured in the line of duty and retired from law enforcement soon after. I now run a small gun shop just outside Brimley, MI.

I am an active Life Member of the National Rifle Association and am also a member of The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Para-Ordnance Owners Group (Charter Member), Chippewa County Shooting Association, Mackinac Associates, Handi-Rifle Association, Varmint Hunters Association, Military Vehicle Preservation Association, Civil war Artillery Association, and The Granary Museum Association and St Paul’s Lutheran Church

My wife, son and I are avid outdoor enthusiasts and participate regularly in hunting, fishing and various shooting sports including IDPA.

This year, Stacy and I are Bear hunting and both of us really enjoy being able to hunt together. Our son, Waylon is an avid small game hunter and will be able to hunt Whitetails for the first time this year.

I am proud and extremely excited to except the position of Regional Director for TUSAMI. I plan to use this position to help introduce the youth of Michigan to the shooting sports and help expand their opportunities to use and enjoy our God given outdoor resources here in the Upper Peninsula.
