STATE NEWS

Greetings from the land of Hiawatha!

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Craig Frank.  I reside in Michigan's Western U.P. near the shores of Lake Superior's Keweenaw Bay.  I've lived in this great state all of my life and enjoy all it has to offer.  I've been a member of this fine organization since World Bowhunters back in the 80's and have been active throughout the organization since 2000.  I have recently accepted the position of Michigan State Director, of which I take very seriously!  I've lived all over this state, made scores of friends, went on boatloads of huntsand shared many campfires.  From this I've developed a deep rooted appreciation and love for the great outdoors and the fine people of this state.  Since my move up here in 1999 from the urban sprawl and concrete jungle, my daily ritual has changed dramatically.  What was once...get up before any civilized person should, head to work, drive truck until the boss said I'm done, come home dead to the world, has now evolved into a successful real estate practice, of which I set the hours, selling quality recreational, waterfront and hunting properties, which in turn allows me countless hours in the woods developing relationships with like minded people!  How cool is that!  I run a very select Bear Guide Service.... on years I don't draw.  But best of all, I enjoy quality FAMILY time outdoors, ESPECIALLY UP AT THE CABIN!  These things we come to enjoy and take for granted are constantly being attacked by the ever so dangerous watchful eye of the anti's looking for a weak spot to sink their misguided fangs into.  If we waiver, show weakness or continue to lower our hunting license numbers every year, without standing up against them, we're sure to fail and vicious bite by bite, we will lose these cherished rights we now have.  Our children and future generations stand to lose most if we take the "someone else will do it" attitude.  Strength in numbers is what's needed to fend off any enemy.  Yes, someone else may do it but don't cry to me if you wake up one morning and another restriction has been placed on hunting, fishing or trapping, or worse yet taken away entirely!  How about your firearms?  They want those too!!  Australia didn't think it would happen...ask any citizen how the crime is now that they cannot own firearms.  What we have is worth fighting for so our future generations can enjoy what we had, but only better.  We need to get kids back out in the outdoors, not grasping some joystick in front of the idiot box.  This is melting the fabric of America!  Bring the family back together as a unit, get outdoors, taste the Spirit of the Wild...and most of all...FIGHT FOR IT!

We're looking for several like minded ambitious persons who sincerely care about our sporting rights and would like to assist in doing more in the fight to preserve, conserve, spread the word and help to better these rights we now have.  Pro family, pro second amendment, pro hunting, pro fishing, pro conservation...all worth the effort!  If not us, who?  If not now, when?

My lines are open...contact me anytime!
