Hello everyone, my name is Steve Yoho.  I was born in Detroit, MI on October 25th 1966.  I currently reside in Chesterfield Twp., MI.  I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Traci for eleven years and we have two little girls, Alyssa (9 years old) and Brianna (8 years old).  Classic Design Inc has employed me for over 15 years; we design and build automotive welding fixtures as well as other special tools.  I also spent four years as a U.S. Marine from 1988-1992 (Primary MOS: 2111 - Small Arms Repairman - Secondary MOS:  8531 – PMI (Primary Marksmanship Instructor).

My beliefs?
I believe all law abiding American citizens have the right to bear arms.
I believe all law abiding American citizens have the right to hunt, fish, camp, hike, ski, boat or do any other legal outdoor activity they desire.
I believe it is our responsibility to inspire and nurture the next generation to embrace to outdoors as we do.
I believe a child needs both Mom and Dad in the house.
I believe a child needs Mom at home when they leave for school and when they come home from school.
I believe in saying prayers at the dinner table.
I believe in tucking my kids in bed every night and telling them how much I love them.
I believe that marrying my wife is the best thing that I ever did (next to becoming a Marine).
I believe that Dad should cut the grass and Mom should vacuum.
I believe Nintendo’s’,X-Box’s, Gameboy’s, Ipod’s, Walkman’s and cell phones, SUCK!
I believe that parents that over indulge their children with the aforementioned, SUCK!
I believe a duck blind is the greatest place to get to really know someone.
I believe a deer blind is the greatest place to get to really know your self.

As most of you, I enjoy most all aspects of hunting and fishing.  I’m the typical “Joe” that wished I could manage my time better so I could do more of it.  Every October is a struggle trying to split my time between bowhunting, duck hunting and family responsibilities.  Then mid November rolls around and I’m off to Bark River in the U.P. for opening day firearm.  I’ve been fortunate enough to have harvested at least one of everything that I’ve ever hunted.  I love to hunt whitetail with my bow, handgun and rifle (in order of preference) I dabble in turkey hunting and upland bird hunting but I’m nutso passionate about duck hunting.  Over the past few years I think I would rather duck hunt than deer hunt, I’ve been having that much fun.

Over the years I’ve been a member of or still am a member of the following hunting, fishing or pro second amendment organizations:

NRA (Lifer)
TNUSA (Lifer)
MUCC
DU
SCI
NAHC
B.A.S.S.
Brass Roots
NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association)NADKC (North American Deutsch Kurzhaar Club)
Huron Point Sportsman Club
Gilberts Sportsman Club

I was taken by surprise when Jim Emch asked me to help him out as Area “B” Director.  I haven’t known Jim very long; as a matter of fact I’ve only met him a few times.  But I thought about it and decided “that guy needs all the help he can get”.  Just kidding Jim.  I’m willing to help you out in anyway that I can, I’m honored that you asked.

Sincerely,
Steve Yoho
