Hello All !!!
Just wanted to share with you an incredible experience. On October 16th the Oaktree Wildlife Products Company sponsored their Second Annual Disabled Hunt at Ted Nugent's Sunrise Acres. What a blast. Everyone had a great time, everyone had a successful hunt and we all had the experience of a lifetime.
For those of you who have never hunted wild Russian boar ya gotta give it a try. They are inquisitive, aggressive and sometimes hostile beasts and did I mention they have sharp teeth? They can also cover ground in a hurry!! Let me tell you this was definitely not a canned hunt with 340 acres for them to hide it was not super easy.
Hunt Master guide extraordinaire Paul Wilson was awesome he got everyone situated fairly quickly and that's not easy when you factor in the individual limitations that must be considered when you are setting up disabled hunters. Paul made sure to ask questions with each hunter and made us all feel right at home. Thanks Paul
The scenery was awesome. I saw a couple record class bucks while on stand as well as buffalo, 4 horned ram and Barbarossa rams too.
We also had help from Cyle Oakley who assisted Paul for the day Thanks Cyle! I also need to Thank Colleen Treloar for the awesome food, meatballs, Ham & potato soup, homemade beef jerky and enchiladas doesn't get much better than that. Thank you. thanks also to Steve Irwin  and Greg Brown, Jeff Blowers and Bill Gischia for helping out with  a little of everything. Last but not least thanks to Pat Treloar for putting it all together. You Rock!
Plans are already underway for 2007 and it will be on a Saturday and Sunday in early October we know that much we are working on discount butchering rates and discount lodging so stay tuned, I will keep you posted.  Anyone interested can contact me at Kauppy@sbcglobal.net here are some photos of the hunt Take care all and good luck and safe hunting
